Inspired by the television show of the same name, Winx Club follows the exploits of a group of supernaturally gifted young women. The game's storyline is based on the first season of the animated series. Players take the role of Bloom, a teenage Earth girl who discovers she has magical powers when she helps a fairy defeat a nasty troll in a park near her home.
Soon enough, Bloom finds herself attending a special high school (called Alfea) for magically gifted students, and the leader of a group of similarly talented friends -- the "Winx Club." The PS2 adventure features social interaction between characters, and an assortment of mini-games and collectable items, as players try to foil the evil plans of a group of witches from a rival school.
