Developer BattleGoat Studios makes a decennial return to world domination with a kinder (but not gentler!) follow-up to 2005's Supreme Ruler 2010. Once again, the world is the arena, and diplomacy the weapon of choice. In full command of their chosen country's military and economic resources, players vie to control or consume those nations smaller, and evade or exploit those nations bigger -- until there are none bigger. The focus of the sequel's design is player control and customization. Building on the earlier release, 2020 features a more accessible interface, a slicker presentation, and many more options to allow players to adjust various difficulty factors, victory conditions, and enemy AI attributes.
