After an absence of more than seven years, Paradox Interactive resurrects its Crusades-themed grand strategy series as gamers once again attempt to rebuild a fractured Europe by amassing a feudal domain and engaging in holy war in Crusader Kings II. Players begin as a Christian noble in 1066, and then advance through 400 years of familial succession, gaining "Prestige" at each level to eventually become an Emperor. Intrigue abounds as gamers deal with agenda-driven vassals, courtiers, and popes, while a competitive multiplayer mode lets up to 32 players compete for medieval glory.
