D-Day: America Invades by Avalon Hill allows players to re-enact one of seven historic battles with themselves as commanding officer. They must engage and battle the enemy while avoiding ambushes and keeping their lines of supply open.
An extremely realistic combat sim, the game calls on players to keep track of a variety of statistics that affect combat between their soldiers and the enemy's, including fatigue, the commanding officer, unit integrity and morale, the unit's experience and position, and a great number of other variants.
D-Day: America Invades is the third in a series of games covering World War II called "World at War."
Strategic wargame set in the campaign of the American VII corps on the Cotentin peninsula....well, D-Day. Spiritual successor to V for Victory: Utah Beach.
You can play in either the allied or german side as you play on a series of pre-made scenarios or full campaign mode using the Avalon Hill's Worlds at War rules and game mechanics. Also included are a series of historical variants which can be turned on or off for each scenario.
Graphics are 2d svga and the game includes modem support for two players head-to-head action.
