Monday Night Combat is a futuristic sport that combines a heavy dose of class-based shooting, tower defense, violent robots, finishing moves, and game show theatrics. Players choose from six different character classes as they battle hordes of robots in order to obtain the other team's valuable Moneyball. The "Blitz" co-op mode challenges two local gamers or four online players to team up and defend their Moneyball from an onslaught of enemies by shooting robots, earning money, and building powerful defense towers. The competitive "Crossfire" mode pits two teams of six against each other, with both teams earning money to unleash a wave of robots on their opponent. Money earned from any mode goes into a persistent account that can be used to purchase more than 350 "ProTags" that display statistics and accomplishments to fellow gamers.
