The Blues Brothers are on the run from the law. Take control of either bulky Jake or nippy Elwood in this five-level platform game. You must cross a prison, a river and the big city to reach freedom. You also must find your missing records and collect these. Everything and everyone is against you, but you can pick up and throw warehouse crates to defeat your opponents.

Blues Brothers was made in the image of the movie.

It's a typical arcade game, but there's something addictive about it. I guess it's the multiplayer mode where you can kick some behind together with a friend.

There are two characters, just like in the movie (Jake and Elwood). They don't have any special abilities, and they only differ in their appearance. Your task is to collect records and reach level exits. There will be lots of obstacles you can either evade or knock down using crates that are dispersed throughout each level.

The game is not very innovative, and it can get tedious after a while. Nonetheless, it can provide a reasonable amount of entertainment, especially in multiplayer mode. If you like this genre, you won't be disappointed!

Your typical jump 'n' run platform game, based on the characters of the same name. The plot is inconsequential (something about your record collection being stolen) all you need to know is that you take on the role of either Jake or Elwood Blues and um... jump 'n' run through various levels, avoiding baddies and collecting stuff as you go.

The best thing about the game (casting my mind back to when I owned it on the Atari ST) is the ingame music. If you've seen anything from the comedy duo before (sketches, movies) then it will all be very familiar to you, and I have to admit that the choons are damn catchy.

The graphics are average, nicely drawn sprites and recognisable backdrops - useable but nothing out of the ordinary. The game is fun for the first few levels but like most games of this type it gets repetitive and somewhat boring quite fast. It's a good game if you just want a quick blast, but don't expect to want to stay up all night playing it.

Ahh, I played this one with my little brother for like ages! And now I've found it back! Great game! The idea is that you're one of the Blues Brothers, Elwood or Jake. You choose that character at the beginning of the game, you can also choose them both. That's the multiplayer aspect, that way you can play against a friend (or little brother). With your character you walk in a few platform based levels and you can throw boxes against policemen, old ladies in shopping carts etc. Instead of the hearts that you see at other games (you know, if you got 100 you get a new life) you pick up records.

This game is a true classic and you should immediatly download this one if you haven't got it. It has very original aspects and it's just great!

A nice little game, but I liked the Jukebox Adventure more. All elements of a good Jump 'n Run are present and many characters you may know from the movie are to be seen in one or the other way. Well, not very realistic, but fun. I got to admit that I never really got to like this one, but I heard from some other peoplet that they indeed preferred this one to the sequel. Judge yourself.
