Commander Keen 6: Aliens Ate My Baby Sitter! is a platform game, the sixth in the Commander Keen series as a whole.

Molly, the babysitter of Billy "Commander Keen" Blaze (an eight-year-old genius) has been kidnapped by the Bloogs from the planet Fribbulus Xax, for purely gastronomical purposes. Keen must set out to Fribbulus Xax to save her!

The game begins with a top-down map of the Fribbulus Xax. This is the level select screen, where Billy can walk around and the player can choose the next level they want to enter; however, some places on the map require the player to find specific items (such as a grappling hook) to get through. On each level, Billy has to make his way to the exit. Once a level is completed, Billy ends up back on the overhead map.

The levels are full of enemies, including the club-wielding Blooguards, the Flects which can reflect Billy's shots with their teeth, and Nospikes which charge at him in hopes of impaling him. There are also many deadly hazards. If Billy gets shot or touched by an enemy, or falls into a pit or touches something hazardous, he dies and loses one life.

Thankfully, Billy can stun most enemies with his raygun. He also carries a pogo stick which allows him to jump very high. Other items to find include: ammo, gems that are needed to open locked doors, bonus items which give score, bird-like "Vivas" (100 of them give an extra life) and the rare Queen Viva which gives an extra life.

After the first 5 games about the Commander Keen, Apogee stopped making the games. Soon after the FormGen came around and made Commander Keen 6, which is the first Commander Keen game that wasn't made by Apogee, and the obvious reason why it's abandoned. Since Apogee is very touchy about their games, this will unfortunately be the only Commander Keen game you'll get for free for a long time. But meanwhile you can celebrate, because you have Commander Keen 6: Aliens Ate My Baby Sitter! The game was made in 1991, the same year the 5th one was made. The game uses the same graphics engine as parts 4 and 5, and is just as enjoyable.

You are Billy Blaze, a young genius and inventor. When the mean, green Bloogs from the putrid planet Fribbulus Xax had came to Earth, they kidnapped your babysitter Molly. Now you are the one to go to Fribbulous Xax and save her (how many kids there are in the world that will risk their lives just to save the babysitter!?) You change to your alter-ego, Commander Keen, and head to the planet. The only weapons that you have are a neutral stunner and a pogo stick! Your mission won't be easy, as there are many evil aliens that will try to hurt you. There are some good aliens, that won't hurt you. They will just push you, and you will hurt yourself if falling on something sharp. But the time is always precious, so don't waste it in playing with aliens! Run and save the queen...ahem...I mean the babysitter. Explore the planet's surface and search guard posts, research labs, and space stations. While you explore the surface of the planet, you find some paths blocked. In order to move along through blocked paths, you will have to complete one "small" arcade sequence. You have only a set amount of time and lives, so be fast and careful.

Brilliant EGA graphics in the game make this game even more enjoyable. I don't have any complains about the sounds. They fit the game perfectly. The only annoying sound is the one when you get killed, but that's only because you know what has just happened if you heard that sound.

The game is easily controlled using arrow keys, control, alt and space key. Arrow keys serve for moving, control for jumping, alt for activating a pogo stick, and space-bar for firing. One more thing that I like much is that Keen can hang down the panels, and climb them. I really liked this game. I would suggest it to everyone, no matter of age.

As far as my rating, I give this game a straight 5.
